Ross Dickman has a diverse and extensive work experience. Ross started their career in the US Army, where they served in various roles such as Platoon Leader, Logistics Manager, Company Commander, and Executive Assistant to the Commanding General. During their time in the army, they commanded and led a Headquarters Company and managed a budget of over $12 million.
After their military service, Dickman pursued higher education and graduated with a Master's degree in Organizational Psychology and Leadership from Teachers College, Columbia University. Ross was also a graduate student as part of the Eisenhower Leader Development Program.
Dickman joined the United States Military Academy at West Point, where they served as the Executive Officer for the Simon Center for the Professional Military Ethic (SCPME). Ross was responsible for the supervision and direction of a staff, as well as the integration of the Character Development Program with all West Point agencies and directorates. Ross also served as the account supervisor and billing official for significant financial accounts.
In 2016, Dickman transitioned to the Hire Heroes USA, where they held multiple roles. Ross served as the Director of the Independence Project, responsible for managing a $13M budget for a research program. Ross later became the Interim Chief Executive Officer and currently holds the position of Chief Operating Officer.
In 2021, Dickman joined the George W. Bush Presidential Center as a Stand-To Veteran Leadership Program Scholar.
