Aravind Gopalakrishnan

Aravind Gopalakrishnan started their work experience as a Site Reliability Engineer at Cognizant Technology Solutions in 2011. In this role, they tested C++ and Java SaaS applications for scalability and load, documented technical specifications, and logged defects. Aravind worked there until July 2013.

From September 2013 to May 2015, Aravind worked as an Information Technology Consultant at Syracuse University College of Engineering and Computer Science. Aravind served as a system and network administrator for a facility with over 1000 users. Aravind provided support and technology consulting services, ensuring a 99% uptime.

Next, Aravind joined Securonix in July 2015 as an Implementation and Pre-Sales Engineer. Aravind deployed user and entity analytics (EUBA) at a major international financial firm, monitoring web proxy, email gateway, DLP, and Unix operating system activities. Aravind also built custom logging connectors and automated system health monitoring and maintenance activities, reducing turnaround time by 60%. Aravind held this role until June 2017.

At Securonix, from August 2017 to July 2020, Aravind served as a Sr. Technical Lead/Architect. Aravind led the deployment of security analytics tools for threat hunting, behavioral analytics, log storage, and investigations. Aravind mentored junior engineers, coordinated with project managers to ensure technical quality and timeliness, and identified metrics to monitor customer adoption and resource usage on cloud tenants (SaaS). Aravind also worked with product managers to prioritize feature development based on customer feedback and provided bug fixes.

Aravind then joined Google in July 2020 as a Technical Solutions Developer - Cloud Security. Aravind helped customers maximize their utility of the Google Cloud Platform, advocated for the customer, and worked with cross-functional teams to drive high-quality production. Aravind also served as the subject-matter expert for GCP's features and technology. Aravind left Google in August 2022.

Currently, Aravind is working at Hiro Systems as a DevOps Engineer starting in August 2022.

Aravind Gopalakrishnan obtained a Bachelor of Technology (BTech) degree in Information Technology from Anna University from 2007 to 2011. Aravind then pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Information Management from Syracuse University between 2013 and 2015. Before their undergraduate studies, they completed their secondary education at Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan Sr. Sec. School until 2007.
