Muneeb Ali

Muneeb Ali has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Muneeb is currently the CEO of Trust Machines, a position they have held since 2022. Prior to this, Muneeb served as a board member at Hiro Systems, a company that develops developer tools for Bitcoin. Muneeb was also the co-creator of Stacks, an open-source Bitcoin layer for smart contracts. Muneeb's academic background includes a PhD from Princeton University, where they worked in the Networks and Systems group and with the PlanetLab team. Muneeb was also a co-founder and CTO of Onename, an early Bitcoin application. In terms of research experience, Muneeb worked as an assistant in research at Princeton University, as well as a research staff member at TU Delft. Muneeb also had visiting researcher positions at Stanford University and SICS.

Muneeb Ali completed their education with a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science and Mathematics from Lahore University of Management Sciences in 2003. Muneeb then pursued further studies at Princeton University and obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Computer Science in 2011. Muneeb continued their education at Princeton and completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Science in 2017. In addition to their academic pursuits, they also engaged in entrepreneurship studies at Y Combinator until 2014.
