Emily Neuenschwander possesses extensive experience in food safety and quality assurance, currently serving as a Quality Assurance Specialist and Quality Assurance Lab Supervisor at Hirzel Canning Co since July 2012. Prior to this role, Emily worked at Purdue University from November 2008 to December 2011 as a Food Safety Lab Assistant, where responsibilities included investigating antimicrobial activity and evaluating treatments for produce. Additionally, Emily served as a Dietetic/Research Assistant, analyzing data from a scientific consumption study and training new staff in meal preparation. An internship at Hillshire Brands in summer 2011 involved creating a database for bakery product instructions and researching industry standards for gluten-free labeling. Emily holds a Bachelor of Science in Food Science from Purdue University, earned in 2012.
