Hope College And Leadership Program at Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE)

Kesia Garibay has significant experience in public health and leadership roles, currently serving in the Hope College and Leadership Program at Hispanas Organized for Political Equality (HOPE) since February 2019, while also working as a Lab Assistant at the University of California, Merced since August 2018. Previously, Kesia was a KP Launch Intern in the Lifestyle Medicine Department at Kaiser Permanente, where data from a disease reversal clinic trial was developed and analyzed, contributing to an 85% retention rate for classes. As Lead Resident Assistant at the University of California, Merced, Kesia mentored fellow Resident Assistants and responded to emergency needs. Kesia also interned with the Merced County Department of Public Health, contributing to the creation of a cultural competency policy, and engaged in advocacy at the University of California Global Health Institute, participating in discussions on global health issues. Kesia holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Health from the University of California, Merced.
