Gyan Farrell Caluag is actively engaged in multiple roles focused on health, research, and community service. Currently serving as a Committee Member at End The Cycle, Gyan collaborates on projects to tackle food insecurity in Washtenaw County while also working as a Research Assistant at Michigan Medicine to explore the link between financial insecurity and pain through literature review. At the University of Michigan, Gyan is a Peer Mentor and a Research Assistant within the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, contributing to projects involving plasmid cloning and participating in the Health Sciences Scholars Program Committee. Additionally, Gyan is a Student Fellow with the Hispanic Heritage Foundation and a Recording Artist with Giving Songs, bridging music and community support. Gyan has volunteered with Music for Dementia and held organizing roles within the Michigan Music Association. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and Exercise Science at the University of Michigan, Gyan graduated from the International Academy with a high school diploma and has participated in the International Baccalaureate program.
