Daniel Smeak

Daniel Smeak has a strong background in veterinary medicine and academia. Daniel is currently the Vice President of Surgical Models at Inotiv, a position they have held since December 2020. Prior to this, they worked at Colorado State University as a Professor and Chief of Small Animal Surgery. Additionally, they served as the Hospital Director at Colorado State University from 2007 to 2008. Before joining Colorado State University, Daniel Smeak was a Professor and Chief of Small Animal Surgery at The Ohio State University from 1981 to 2007.

Daniel Smeak's education history includes a Residency in Small Animal Surgery at The Ohio State University from 1981 to 1983. Prior to that, they completed an Internship in Small Animal Rotating Internship at Colorado State University from 1979 to 1980. Daniel obtained their Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from Michigan State University from 1976 to 1979. Before pursuing their DVM, they completed a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Zoology, Preveterinary at Michigan State University from 1974 to 1976.

In addition to their formal education, Daniel Smeak has obtained various certifications. Daniel completed the "Become a Leader" certification from LinkedIn in December 2022. Daniel also obtained certifications in "How to Project Vocal Confidence," "Emerging Leader Foundations," and "Transitioning from Manager to Leader" from LinkedIn in 2022, with the most recent certification obtained in November 2022.
