Mat Sargent

Mat Sargent is a seasoned professional in the field of archaeology with extensive experience in Cultural Resource Management (CRM). Currently serving as a Field Archaeologist at Historical Research Associates, Inc. and Archaeological Investigations Northwest, Inc., Sargent has a strong background in site identification, surveying, and excavations. Sargent also holds the positions of Editor and Reviewer for Field Notes Collegiate Journal of Anthropology, contributing to scholarly publications. Previous roles include Staff Archaeologist at UWM-CRM and the Programme for Belize Archaeological Project, as well as Field Archaeologist positions at Archaeology Consulting and Services and TerraXplorations, Inc. Sargent possesses a Master of Science in Anthropology with a focus on Archaeology and Paleoethnobotany, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical and Biological Anthropology, both from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
