Jeff Shek is a Lead Software Engineer at Jeff'stoWiz. Jeff has also worked as a Senior Engineer Lead at Capsule, a Senior Software Engineer / Lead Backend Engineer at Artivest, and a Quantiative & Analytics Software Engineer at YCharts.

At Jeff'stoWiz, Jeff is responsible for leading the software engineering team and overseeing the development of Jeff'stoWiz's software products. Jeff has previous experience working with Python, Django, MySQL, and C#.

At Capsule, Jeff worked on building a better pharmacy. Jeff was responsible for creating custom Python & Django applications for institutional clients, refactoring legacy code, and building RESTful APIs.

At Artivest, Jeff was responsible for architecting Python solutions, developing and improving Vagrant and DevOps infrastructure, and speccing and improving large projects into maintainable pieces for junior developers to work.

At YCharts, Jeff created and coded custom backend calculations for asset classes such as equities and indices using Python, Pandas, and NumPy. Jeff also worked on scalable AWS engineering solutions to support multiple security assets and created Python, MySQL, and Django engineering solutions to help support and create over 3,500 calculations across fundamental and quantitative metrics. In addition, they developed and created product features in YChart's Excel Add-In (C#) to support a broad range of asset classes and maintained support for an API allowing clients to obtain large datasets.

Jeff Shek graduated from North Quincy High School and then went on to study economics, finance, and information-technology at Bentley University. Jeff later earned their BS from The University of Hong Kong.
