Terry Hatfield

Terry Hatfield is Executive Vice President, Operational Excellence and Compliance Leader for Hitachi Capital America.

Terry joined Hitachi in 1991 as an accountant. After roles of increased responsibility, she was promoted to Assistant Vice President in 1997, then to Manager of Accounting, Finance, and IT in 1998, and to Vice President in 1999. In 2000, she was promoted to Vice President, Finance, and Tax and IT; and in 2004, she was promoted to Vice President and Controller. In January of 2007, Terry was promoted to Senior Vice President, Internal Control and Risk Management, responsible for developing and overseeing compliance with SOX and internal risk management for all of the company’s business functions as well as her current responsibility of accounting and taxes. Terry was promoted to Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, responsible for finance, tax, and audit in 2009. She was again promoted in May of 2014 to Executive Vice President and CFO. She was named to her current role in May of 2019.

Terry has a BS degree in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut, is a Certified Public Accountant, and is a member of the Connecticut State Board of Accountancy.
