Steve Long

Steve Long has extensive experience in the field of Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE). Steve has held various leadership positions throughout their career. From 1995 to 2007, they served as the HSE Director at Babcock International Group, where they were responsible for overall strategic and operational management, accreditation, and the provision of training consultancy services. Steve then worked as the SHEQ Director at First Engineering and Redhall Group from 2007 to 2010 and from 2008 to 2010, respectively. From 2010 to 2012, they served as the VP HSSE and Business Assurance at AMEC. Steve continued their career as the HSE Director at Sellafield UK Ltd from 2012 to 2016, overseeing the nuclear facility's health, safety, and environmental operations. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Business Assurance at Hitachi Rail Europe since 2016.

Steve Long earned a BSC (Hons) degree in Environmental Management from the University of Hull. Steve also obtained an MSc degree in Safety from the University of Greenwich.
