Nilay Saraf

Nilay Saraf is an experienced optimization engineer specializing in smart energy systems, currently employed at Hive Power since June 2022. Prior to this role, Saraf served as a computational and data scientist at Enel Group from January 2020 to May 2022, focusing on optimal control algorithms and Agile software development. An industrial PhD student at IMT School for Advanced Studies Lucca from November 2015 to December 2019, Saraf researched optimization problems in model predictive control. Additional relevant experience includes roles at Ford Motor Company and participation in the EU's H2020 Marie Curie Innovative training network. Saraf has also contributed as a visiting researcher at Universidad de Sevilla and worked as a research assistant at Fraunhofer ISE.
