Katie Hathaway has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2023. Katie is currently working as the Head of Security Fusion & Comedic Relief at HiveWatch, a cloud-based SaaS platform for security systems. Prior to this, they worked as a Business Development Representative at HiveWatch and as an Executive Assistant. Before joining HiveWatch, Katie worked as a Writers' Assistant at FX Networks and as a Showrunner's Assistant at NBCUniversal. Katie also gained experience as an Executive Assistant at Imagine Entertainment & Television and Pacific Electric Picture Company. Early in their career, they worked as an Agent Trainee at United Talent Agency, a Production Intern at Jax Media and Broad City, Season 2, and a Television Production and Development Intern at Brillstein Entertainment Partners. Katie also took on the role of Chief Education Officer at Kappa Alpha Theta. Overall, they have demonstrated a strong background in security, business development, executive assistance, and television production.

Katie Hathaway attended Marymount High School from 2007 to 2011, where they did not pursue any specific degree or field of study. Following high school, they went on to attend the University of Michigan from 2011 to 2015. During their time at the university, Katie obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree, majoring in Communications Studies and Global Media Studies.
