Anne Jellema

Anne Jellema is an accomplished leader with extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, currently serving as Chief Executive Officer at Hivos since October 2022. Prior to this role, Anne held significant positions at ActionAid International, including International Director of Resource Mobilisation and Innovation and Acting Secretary-General. Anne's previous experience also includes serving as Campaign Director at Avaaz and Chief Executive of the World Wide Web Foundation, where a major strategic overhaul led to a significant increase in income and staffing. Anne's early career features leadership in advocacy and campaigns at the Global Campaign for Education, co-founding the initiative and driving successful movements for educational rights globally. Anne holds advanced degrees in Social Anthropology and Financial Economics from prestigious institutions, complementing a Bachelor of Arts in Liberal Arts.
