Leila Takei

Leila Takei is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community outreach and health promotion, currently serving as a Community Connections Specialist and Settlement Specialist at Halton Multicultural Council Inc since March 2022. Prior to this role, Leila worked as a Community Health Ambassador focusing on the Portuguese-speaking community at Dixie Bloor Neighbourhood Centre. Leila also contributed to Sheridan College as a co-chair of the Wellness Strategies Working Group and as a research assistant, while being a full-time student in the Social Service Worker Program. Earlier in their career, Leila operated a private dental office in Brazil for 25 years, specializing in orthodontics and pediatrics. Leila holds a Social Service Worker Diploma from Sheridan College and a Bachelor's degree from USP - Universidade de São Paulo.
