Peter Thomas

Peter Thomas is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in automation and control systems. Currently serving as the PI Training Manager at HMS Networks since December 2022, Peter is responsible for delivering PI certified training courses in the UK and supporting the expansion of training capabilities globally. As the Training Centres Chairman for PROFIBUS & PROFINET International, Peter coordinates 28 international training centres, ensuring compliance with learning outcomes and leading course content workgroups. Previous roles include application development and training in various programming languages, validation in the pharmaceutical sector, and configuration of SCADA and HMI systems. Peter's career began with an electrical engineering apprenticeship and includes significant positions at companies such as Control Specialists Ltd, Eurotherm Ltd, and Halton College of FE.
