Monica Barrera

Monica Barrera, M Sc. CPE, is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in ergonomics and occupational health. Currently serving as the Corporate Safety and Ergonomics Sr. Manager at HNI Corporation since January 2024, Monica has previously held significant roles at Rivian, Adient, Johnson Controls, Magna International, and DELPHI Automotive Systems. Throughout the career, Monica has managed ergonomic programs, developed training, and provided support for numerous facilities across North America and Europe. Educational qualifications include a Master of Science in Ergonomics and a Master of Science in Occupational Risk Prevention from Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya, alongside a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey.
