Rune Einar Karlsen

Rune Einar Karlsen has extensive work experience in various leadership roles within the maritime and energy sectors. Rune Einar began their career in 1994 as a Project Engineer at Advanced Production and Loading AS, where they worked on projects related to offshore mooring systems and riser design. In 1995, they joined Det Norske Veritas as a Principal Engineer, responsible for approving the design of offshore vessels and managing newbuilding and conversion projects.

In 2001, Karlsen joined the Norwegian Shipowners Association as Head of Section for Safety, Environment, and HSE. In this role, they focused on project-oriented work related to safety, environment, and quality assurance in shipping and offshore industries. Rune Einar also represented the association at the International Maritime Organization (IMO).

In 2008, Karlsen joined Høegh LNG, where they held several senior positions over the years.
