Dr. Sharmeen Ahmed

Dr. Sharmeen Ahmed currently serves as the Associate Dean of Students at Hofstra University, providing policy guidance on community standards, Title IX, and Public Safety while participating on the University Policy Committee to enhance policy development alignment with institutional values. Prior to this role, Dr. Ahmed held various positions at Hunter College, including Associate Director of the Office of Student Conduct, where responsibilities encompassed investigating academic integrity cases and designing mediation agreements. Other notable experiences include leadership roles in student affairs and community standards at the Fashion Institute of Technology and The City College of New York, alongside academic roles as a non-teaching adjunct at Columbia University School of Social Work and an adjunct lecturer. Dr. Ahmed holds an EdD in Organizational Leadership from Northeastern University, an MS in Social Enterprise Administration from Columbia University, and a BA in International Studies from The City College of New York.
