Junaid Ilyas

Junaid Ilyas has worked as a software engineer since 2012. Junaid began their career at PA Media, where they developed the Press Releases ingestion and delivery system using Microservices architecture, a real-time dashboard UI using AngularJS, and a MarkLogic (XQuery) based News API to serve real-time web services. In 2016, they moved to Accenture as an Application Development Senior Analyst, where they led an Agile feature team of 3 developers on a major IT transformation project in Europe's largest home improvement retailer. Junaid then moved to Adstream in 2018 as a Front End Developer. In 2020, they joined GoCardless as a Software Development Engineer, and in 2021, they became a Senior Front End Developer at Hokodo.

Junaid Ilyas completed a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Software Engineering from City, University of London between 2011 and 2015. Junaid also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Computer Science from the National University of Computer and Emerging Sciences between 2009 and 2013. In July 2015, they obtained a Chartered IT Professional (CITP) certification from BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. Junaid also holds a Git Real certification from Code School.
