James Alvarez

James (Tony) Alvarez has a strong background in technology and leadership roles. James (Tony) began their career as a QA Analyst at Sunterra Resorts in 1996, where they also served as a Regional Contracts Manager. In this role, they opened and operated contracts offices, implemented laser printing legal documents, and acted as a liaison for IT and accounting.

Alvarez then joined Westgate Resorts in 2001 as a Senior IT Business Analyst. James (Tony) later transitioned to Holiday Inn Club Vacations in 2008, where they held various positions throughout the years. These include Senior Information Technology Business Analyst, Director of IT Business Innovations, Senior Director - IT Application Delivery, Senior Director of IT Development, and Senior Director of Next Generational Technology.

In their roles at Holiday Inn Club Vacations, Alvarez demonstrated their ability to lead teams, collaborate with external partners, implement new technologies, and streamline processes. James (Tony) was responsible for the creation and implementation of various IT systems and programs, such as the SMART system for Sales and Marketing and the HICV "Dreambuilder" technology. James (Tony) also played a significant role in establishing an Agile culture within the organization.

Alvarez's work experience showcases their expertise in technology leadership, project management, and strategic planning. James (Tony) has a track record of driving innovation, overcoming challenges, and delivering successful outcomes.

James (Tony) Alvarez completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Crummer Graduate School of Business at Rollins College in 2019. Prior to that, they attended Valencia College. In addition to their formal education, James has obtained various certifications, including Leading Remote Teams from eCornell in 2022, RLF (Regional Leadership Forum) from the Society for Information Management in 2018, and Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) and Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance in 2013. James (Tony) also holds certifications from Agile Transformation Inc., including Certified Agility Health Facilitator (AHF) and Certified Agility Health Coach (AHC), as well as Enterprise Business Agility certification from the same institution. James has further enhanced their skills with the ICP - Business Agility Foundations certification from ICAgile.
