Geza Szakats

Geza Szakats has a long and varied work experience in the field of fire protection and safety engineering. Geza started their career in 1998 as a Designer at Western States Fire Protection and then worked as a Consultant at Schirmer Engineering from 2000 to 2003. After that, they joined Arup as an Associate, where they gained extensive experience in designing and installing automatic fire sprinkler and fire pump systems. At Arup, they also focused on fire/life safety code consulting and performance-based code application for unique building designs. In 2017, Geza joined Holmes US as the Project Director in their San Francisco office, where they continue to lead technical projects and brings their expertise in fire protection and performance-based code compliance.

Geza Szakats attended the Budapest University of Technology and Economics from 1990 to 1996, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Mechanical Engineering with a specialization in Fluid Dynamics. Additionally, they have obtained certifications as a LEED Accredited Professional and a Professional Engineer in CA, although the specific institutions and dates of obtaining these certifications are unknown.
