Senior Vice President Of Engineering at Hologram

Dan Quine's work experience begins in 2001, where they worked as the CTO for Qbiquity, leading the implementation of a web platform and data mining solution. Dan then joined Unicru as the Chief Architect and Senior Director of Technology, where they developed a domain-specific intelligent search engine. In 2005, they co-founded Blurb and served as the Chief Technology Officer, leading the product, engineering, and QA teams and launching the first public release of the product.

From 2006 to 2010, Dan worked at Google, initially as a Product Manager for Crawl Infrastructure and later as a Tech Lead/Manager and then as an Engineering Manager for various teams within the advertising and mobile app divisions.

In 2013, they worked as the CTO in Residence (part-time) at Index Ventures, providing technical due diligence and advising portfolio companies.

Dan's next role was as the CTO for Songkick.com, where they led the team through a major transition and implemented a continuous deployment system.

Dan joined AltSchool in 2016 as the VP of Product, Engineering and Design, delivering four major releases of their educational platform.

In 2019, Dan joined Lever as the SVP of Product and Engineering, leading a team of 65 engineers, designers, and product managers.

In 2021, they moved to Mode, serving as the SVP of Product, Engineering, and Design, growing the team from 45 to 110 and reducing attrition rates.

Currently, Dan works at Hologram Inc. as the Senior Vice President of Engineering.

Dan Quine completed their education at the University of Leeds. Dan obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science in 1989. Dan later pursued a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from 1989 to 1992. In 2014, Quine returned to the University of Leeds as a Visiting Professor in Computer Science, a position they held until 2018.
