Shashank Somashekar

Shashank Somashekar is an Assistant Project Manager at Holtec International, responsible for managing project lifecycles related to storage and transport canisters for spent nuclear fuel at nuclear power plants, as well as overseeing international turnkey projects. Previously, Shashank served as a Design Engineer, focusing on design and development for HI-TRAN and enhancing steam air turbine performance, along with collaborating on rigging fixture designs with cross-functional teams. Earlier experience includes roles as a Design and Quality Intern at Dynamatic Technologies Limited, a Project Design Intern at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, and a Research Intern at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), where Shashank contributed to various structural and prototype design projects. Shashank holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stevens Institute of Technology and a Bachelor's degree in Aeronautical Engineering from Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology.
