Precious Akinsanya has a diverse professional background in healthcare and clinical research. Precious began their career as a Physician at Lagos University Teaching Hospital in 2012 before serving as a Staff Physician at National Youth Service Corps/General Hospital Okuku. Precious later transitioned into roles such as Training Specialist at Milwaukee Center for Independence and Investigator Initiated Trials Lead at Medical College of Wisconsin. From 2019 to 2021, they worked as a Clinical Research Manager at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Currently, they hold the position of Associate Director of Oncology Clinical Research Programs at Holy Name Medical Center since March 2021.
Precious Akinsanya holds a Bachelor of Medicine; Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Lagos State University College of Medicine. Precious also completed a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Marquette University. In addition, they completed a Certificate in Human Research Practices and Compliance from Milwaukee Area Technical College. Precious has also obtained a Global Clinical Scholars Research Training Certification from Harvard Medical School, along with certifications in Clinical Research and Training Program and Certified Clinical Research Professional.
