Michael R. Canady

Michael R. Canady is the current CEO of Holzer Health System. Michael previously served as the chairman of the department of surgery at Holzer Clinic from September 1996 to December 2007. From August 2012 to December 2014, they were the medical director of surgical services at Holzer Health System. Prior to that, they were a staff surgeon and department head at Naval Hospital Camp Lejeune from July 1991 to June 1995. Canady began their career as a surgical resident at Good Samaritan Hospital from July 1985 to June 1991.

Michael R. Canady has a Master's level Certificate in Population Health Management from Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, an MBA in Business Administration and Management, General from Ohio University, and a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Wake Forest School of Medicine. Michael also has a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Mathematics and Molecular Biology from Vanderbilt University.
