Amir Alexander Hasson

Amir Alexander Hasson has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Amir Alexander is currently serving as the Chief Operating Officer & Chief Product Officer at Home Outside since January 2021. Prior to this, from August 2013 to February 2020, they were the Co-Founder, CEO, & Chief Happiness Officer at Oxigen USA, Inc., where they played a crucial role in developing Oxigen India's global presence and transforming it into a successful one-stop-shop for remittances, instant payments, and digital gifts.

Amir's previous experience also includes serving as the Chief Development Officer (USA) at Oxigen Services India Pvt Ltd from August 2012 to August 2013. Before that, they founded and led United Villages Network Private Limited from March 2004 to August 2012, where they developed wireless supply chain technology and scaled the Indian subsidiary to 5,000 retailers.

Prior to their venture with United Villages, Amir founded and managed First Mile Solutions, LLC from June 2003 to August 2005. During this time, they transformed an MIT research project into a wireless Internet solutions provider for emerging markets.

Amir's professional journey started as a Business Development Manager at Media Lab Asia, a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) venture. Amir Alexander worked there from 2002 to 2003.

Amir's early entrepreneurial venture was Breathe, Inc., where they served as the Chief Executive Officer. From September 1999 to May 2001, they wrote the business plan, secured financing, built the webreathe.com portal, and generated revenue through advertising and web design services, focusing on holistic health and spirituality providers.

Amir Alexander Hasson has a Master's Degree in Technology Management (now Sloan Fellows Program) from MIT Sloan School of Management. Amir Alexander also holds a B.A. (Honors) degree from Wesleyan University, where they studied in the College of Social Studies. Prior to their university education, Amir obtained a High School Diploma from Francis W. Parker School.

In addition to their formal education, Amir has obtained several certifications. Amir Alexander holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from GeoffLawton Online, obtained in May 2020. Amir Alexander also has a certification in Self-Sustainable Housing from Earthship Biotecture, earned in November 2017. Amir further completed a Teachers Training Course at Sivananda Bahamas in July 2016. Lastly, they received the First Mover Fellow certification from Aspen Institute Business & Society Program in June 2010.
