Tyler Peñfuerte Lai is a 3D Printing/Additive Manufacturing Instructor at Home School Coaches, where responsibilities include instructing maintenance, troubleshooting, and design techniques for various 3D printing methods. Previous experience includes serving as an NNCI REU Researcher at the University of Louisville, focusing on PFAS detection using microfluidic sensors, and holding the role of Assistant Coach at AdLife Academy, promoting student development in physical fitness and teamwork. As Project Lead for the National Center for Earth and Space Science Education, Tyler led a successful experiment on mushroom leather production in microgravity aboard the International Space Station. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Applied Science in Applied Mathematics at UC Berkeley, Tyler also holds an IGETC Certificate from Citrus College and a high school diploma from Glendora High School.
