Ian Caiger Mba, P.eng.

Ian Caiger, MBA, P.Eng., PMP has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Ian has held multiple positions at Home Trust Company, where they served as the Director of Underwriting Business Support and Program Director for Residential Lending. In these roles, they led transformational changes, process re-engineering, and automation initiatives to enhance system-managed workflows and risk-based pricing. Ian also played a key role in the launch of new product offerings and the improvement of customer experiences.

Prior to their work at Home Trust Company, Ian worked at SOCAN as the Director of Project & Application Services. Here, they were responsible for a team of over 50 resources and managed application strategy, architecture, design, development, support, and vendor management. Ian implemented effective IT processes, established quality assurance processes, and oversaw a flawless major version ERP upgrade.

Ian also worked at Toronto Hydro-Electric System Limited as the Director of Project Management. In this position, they managed a portfolio of projects, directed the development and deployment of application solutions, and oversaw infrastructure expansion initiatives.

Ian also worked as a Consulting Engineer at Charles G. Turner & Associates.

Ian Caiger, MBA, P.Eng., PMP, has an extensive education history. Ian first attended Queen's University from 1992 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Applied Science (BASc.) degree in Mechanical Engineering. Following this, they pursued further education at the University of Toronto from 1996 to 2000, obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Science (BSc.) degree in Computer Science with a focus on Information Systems.

Ian's education journey continued as they attended the Schulich School of Business at York University from 2006 to 2009, where they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree, specializing in Strategic Management and International Business.

In addition to their formal education, Ian has also obtained several certifications. In 1999, they obtained their Professional Engineer (P. Eng.) certification from Professional Engineers Ontario. In 2004, they earned the Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute. Most recently, in February 2019, they achieved the Agile: Professional Scrum Master I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org.
