Rita Wittek-Verbeek

Director of People at Homerun

Rita Wittek-Verbeek has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. Rita is currently working at Homerun as the Director of People, where they oversee the HR functions and operations. Prior to this, they served as the Head of People at Homerun and managed the People Operations & Privacy department.

In 2017, Rita co-founded the People Ops Community, a Slack community aimed at supporting HR professionals in the Netherlands. Rita continues to be involved in this community as a Co-Founder.

At Usabilla, they worked as a Customer Success Manager, focusing on the DACH region. Before that, they were the Vibe Manager at Wercker, overseeing culture, communications, and HR-related activities.

Rita also gained experience as a Project Manager at WordHouse, where they successfully executed translation projects and managed client communication. Rita previously worked in the Reservations, Sales & Events department of Volkshotel, handling mailboxes, reservations, and event organization.

Rita'searlier experience includes working as a Barista at Coffeecompany.

Rita Wittek-Verbeek received their Master of Arts (MA) in Asian Studies from Leiden University, which they completed between 2013 and 2015. Prior to that, they pursued their Bachelor's degree in Chinastudies at Leiden University from 2008 to 2012. Rita also obtained an Eidgenössische Matura, a Swiss high school diploma, in Modern languages from Kantonsschule Wiedikon in Zürich, Switzerland, where they studied from 1998 to 2004.

In addition to their formal education, Rita Wittek-Verbeek has pursued further professional development. Rita completed the Bynder Leadership Academy at Bynder in March 2022 and the Search Inside Yourself Leadership training at the Search Inside Yourself Leadership Institute (SIYLI) in November 2019.
