Marilyn Zelinsky-Syarto has been working in the media industry since 2006. Marilyn began their career at Wainscot Media as a Contributing Editor for Special Sections, where they wrote about top professionals in New Jersey. In 2008, they co-founded Two Frugal Fairfielders, a blog about living well within one's means. In 2009, they worked as a Shelterpop.com Contributer at AOL Living, writing about organizing, cleaning, design, real estate and remodeling. Marilyn also worked as a freelance Photo Editor/Researcher for Globe Pequot Press/Knack Imprint from 2008 to 2010 and a freelance Project Book Editor for Globe Pequot Press in 2006. In 2012, they were tapped to become the Demand Media Studios/StudioD/Leaf's Home Decor Expert Consultant. Marilyn also wrote product reviews and edited/reviewed product videos for BestReviews.com from 2019 to 2021. In 2019, they began working as an Editor for Dotdash Meredith and in 2021, they began working as a Content Creator. Simplify & Upstyle and a How-To Guide Writer for Hometalk, Inc. Marilyn had previously worked as an Online Content Producer for IZEA from 2016 to 2019.
Marilyn Zelinsky-Syarto began their educational journey at the Fashion Institute of Technology, where they earned an Associates degree in Advertising and Communications in 1981. Marilyn then went on to New York University and obtained their B.A. in Journalism in 1985.
