Elizabeth Diago Navarro is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in scientific research and public health initiatives. Currently serving as the Co-chair for MECUSA - Women in ECUSA and holding roles as Treasurer, Chief Financial Officer, and Board Member at Españoles Científicos en USA since June 2014, Elizabeth also participates in Homeward Bound Projects as a team member. In the healthcare sector, Elizabeth manages the Ebola and Special Pathogens Program at the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene and has previously held research and academic positions at Stony Brook Medicine and several prestigious institutions. With a strong educational background, including a PhD in Biological Sciences from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University at Albany, Elizabeth has contributed to multiple research publications and has a proven record in coordinating significant healthcare studies.
