Jodi Salmond

Jodi Salmond is an experienced environmental professional and leader dedicated to marine conservation and community engagement. As General Manager of Reef Check Australia since 2010, Jodi oversees reef health monitoring, volunteer training, and community development programs. Jodi’s roles also include Lifebook Leader, Mentor for the Surveying & Spatial Sciences Institute, and participant in initiatives like Homeward Bound and eXXpedition, focusing on empowering women in STEMM and addressing ocean plastic pollution. Jodi’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology and honors in Marine Parasitology from James Cook University, along with specialized training in climate action from the United Nations System Staff College.
