Joel Tow

Joel Tow has a strong background in engineering and leadership roles. Joel is currently serving as the VP of Engineering at Honey Insurance since October 2020. Prior to that, they held the position of VP of Engineering at Airtasker from March 2020 to September 2020. Before that, they were the Tribe Engineering Lead at Airtasker from October 2018 to March 2020.

Joel also has experience working at IR, where they held multiple roles including Software Development Manager from October 2015 to September 2018, Release Manager from January 2015 to April 2016, Scrum Master from July 2015 to October 2015, Team Leader from August 2013 to June 2015, and Senior Software Engineer from September 2012 to August 2013.

Their earlier experience includes working as a Software Project Leader at Altium Limited from September 2006 to August 2012. Throughout their career, Joel has demonstrated strong communication, leadership, and technical skills.

Joel Tow attended the University of New South Wales (UNSW) from 1999 to 2005, where they earned a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) degree with a specialization in Mechatronic. During the same period, they also obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree with a focus on Computer studies from UNSW. In February 2015, Joel obtained a certification as a Certified Scrum Master from the Scrum Alliance.
