Sean Kearney

Sean Kearney is a seasoned engineering professional with over 17 years of experience at Honeywell, currently serving as the Director of Engineering Operations for SPS. In this role, Sean manages global engineering processes and drives strategic initiatives to enhance productivity and quality. Prior roles at Honeywell include Sr. Global Electro-Mechanical Engineering Manager and Sr. Optical Engineer, where Sean contributed to the design and production of imaging and laser-based barcode scanning products. Additionally, Sean serves as a Visiting Lecturer for SPIE and operates Laser Guy Productions, a non-profit organization dedicated to educational laser demonstrations. Sean holds a BAS in Mechanical Engineering from the New Jersey Institute of Technology and two AAS degrees in Laser/Electro Optics and Fiber Optics from Camden County College. Sean has been actively involved in educational outreach, receiving the 2010 SPIE Education Outreach Grant, and has participated in various committees and organizations related to optics and photonics.
