Margaret Wong

Margaret Wong is an experienced ESG Manager at The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas) since September 2017, leading the Group’s ESG disclosures and strategy development in line with international standards. Key achievements include a first-time listing on the Dow Jones Sustainability Asia/Pacific Index in 2022, an upgrade of MSCI ratings from ‘BBB’ to ‘A’, and the publication of a standalone Climate-related Directive Guide in 2022. Previous roles include Assistant Manager at BDO Limited, where Margaret prepared over 20 ESG reports for various industries and initiated significant research on ESG reporting, and Consultant positions at RESET Carbon Ltd. and Carbon Partners Asiatica, focusing on carbon strategies and emissions reduction projects. Margaret holds a Master of Engineering (MEng) in Chemical Engineering from Imperial College London.
