Leena Aalto

Leena Aalto is the current Vice President of Finance and CFO at Honkarakenne. Leena has been with Honkarakenne since January 2012, and in their current role, they are responsible for finance, HR, and IT. Leena is a member of the executive group at Honkarakenne.

Prior to joining Honkarakenne, Leena was the Controller at Rocla Oy from March 2006 to January 2012. In that role, they were responsible for financial accounting functions and headed up the Financial Service Center. Leena also handled both FAS and IFRS reporting, as well as taxation. During their time at Rocla, they were able to optimize finance-related processes.

Leena has also served on the board of Tiiliruukin Huolto Oy from May 2019 to February 2021. Prior to that, they were the Controller at Kruunuasunnot Oy from August 2003 to February 2006. In that role, they were responsible for management accounting and financial reports for the Board. Leena also oversaw group accounting and consolidation. During their time at Kruunuasunnot, Leena implemented a new financial accounting system that included Basware Invoice Processing for electronic invoice circulation, Jeeves for general accounting, and Congnoss Controller for group accounting.

Leena began their career as Chief Accountant at Metsähallitus in March 1995 and held that position until August 2003.

Leena Aalto has a Master of Business Administration from Häme University of Applied Sciences, HAMK in Business Management and Entrepreneurship. Leena also has a Short term program from San Jose State University in Business Practices in a Dynamic Environment, Silicon Valley. In addition, they have a Bachelor of Business Administration from Helia in Financial Management and a Business College Graduate from Mercuria Business School. Leena is also certified from Haaga-Helia School of Vocational Teacher Education as a Pedagogically Qualified Vocational Teacher (AmO) and from Metropolia University of Applied Sciences in Digiope 1 - verkko-opetuksen perustaidot.

They are on a team with Sanna Huovinen - Vice President, Marketing, Jari Noppa - Vice President, Businessa Areas Finland and Sweden. Leena Aalto reports to Marko Saarelainen, President, CEO.
