Mary L. Jung, C.P.A. (Retired License), has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Mary L. started their career at PwC PriceWaterhouseCoopers, where they worked in audit from 1988 to 1990. Mary L. then moved on to become the Controller of Private Equity and Finance at McCown DeLeeuw & Co. from 1991 to 1995. Mary then joined J.R. Simplot Company as a Corporate Analyst from 1996 to 1999.
In 2000, they became the Principal of Venture Capital at Akers Capital L.L.C., where they worked until 2003. Mary L. then transitioned to the State of Idaho Department of Commerce, where they engaged in Science & Technology Economic Development in 2004.
From 2009 to 2015, Mary worked at Boise State University in different capacities, including Founding Director of the Office of Technology Transfer, Director of University and Industry Ventures, and Director of Economic Development.
Mary L. subsequently worked at Lee Health as the System Director of Government and Community Relations from 2016 to 2018. Mary L.'smost recent position was at HonorHealth, where they served as the Director of Community Impact starting from November 2019. Despite being retired, Mary's extensive experience offers a valuable skill set in various fields.
Mary L. Jung, C.P.A. (Retired License), earned their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of San Francisco in the years 1984 to 1988. Prior to their university education, they attended Punahou School from 1978 to 1984. In addition to their formal education, Mary also holds a certificate in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in the Workplace from USF Corporate Training and Professional Education. Mary L. is also a Certified Public Accountant (Ret. Lic.) in the State of California.
