Barbara Thomson

Barbara Thomson is HOOPP's Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer. She is responsible for HOOPP financial reporting and planning as well as investment operations, valuation and risk reporting.

Barbara is a finance and operations executive with over 25 years of experience in the financial services industry. Prior to her appointment as Senior Vice President, Finance & Chief Financial Officer, Barbara was HOOPP's Senior Vice President, Plan Operations. Before joining HOOPP, Barbara was employed as Vice-President, Fund Administration at a major mutual fund company, where she was responsible for all aspects relating to reporting and taxation of mutual and segregated funds. Barbara was also Vice President, Fund and Trust Accounting and Project Management Office for a national insurance company.

She is a Chartered Professional Accountant, CA and has an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo.
