Gulshan Ara has extensive work experience in the field of sustainability and compliance management. Gulshan currently holds the role of Head of People & Culture and Sustainability at Hop Lun, starting in October 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Sustainability Manager at Hop Lun Apparel Ltd. from August 2014 onwards. Earlier in their career, they served as an Ex Deputy Manager at Utah Group of Companies, where they were responsible for handling compliance issues, developing standard operating procedures, and implementing labor laws and buyers' codes of conduct. This position lasted from May 2006 to August 2014.
Gulshan Ara completed their Master's Degree in Social Sciences from the University of Dhaka, from 1996 to 2002. Additionally, they also obtained a Master's degree in Sociology from the University of Dhaka, although the start and end years for this degree are unknown.
