Michelle Gillan is an experienced professional in monitoring, evaluation, research, and learning, currently serving as the Head of Monitoring, Evaluation, Research and Learning at Hope for Justice and Slave-Free Alliance since May 2021. Prior to this role, Michelle held significant positions at Hand in Hand International, The Fairtrade Foundation, and Save the Children UK, where expertise was applied to develop and redevelop monitoring and evaluation frameworks, enhance funding strategies, and provide strategic development advice on various social issues. With a solid foundation in social impact and organisational improvement, Michelle also has a background in supporting programmes for marginalized communities and has worked in roles focusing on grant fundraising and product development at Mencap. Michelle obtained a Master's degree in International Security and Conflict Studies from Dublin City University and has further qualifications in humanitarian response, business, human rights, and corporate social responsibility.
