John Arthur, NBCT, is an experienced elementary school teacher with a strong background in education and advocacy. Currently with the Salt Lake City School District, John has been recognized as the 2021 Utah Teacher of the Year and a National Teacher of the Year Finalist, actively serving as an ambassador for students and educators across the country. In addition to this role, John is a Utah Teacher Fellow with Hope Street Group, where engagement with state education leaders and policy makers aims to elevate the teaching profession. John holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature from the University of Utah and two advanced degrees from Westminster University: a Master of Arts in Teaching and a Master of Education in Elementary Education and Teaching.
