Stu A.

Stu A. has a wealth of work experience, beginning in 2006 as a Biochemistry Research Fellow at the Welch Lab. During their time there, they used standard molecular biology techniques, microcinematography and biochemical assays to investigate the bacterium Myxococcus xanthus. Stu also designed an image analysis program (in Perl) to quantify morphological properties of a developing M. xanthus biofilm, and used the program to identify statistical differences between the morphologies of mutant strains of M. xanthus. In 2009, Stu A. held two positions at Sanofi Genzyme as a Neuroscience Research Associate and a Neuroscience Research Assistant, as well as an Animal Care Technician at Genzyme Corporation. From 2014 to 2015, they were a Business Development Manager at JoMI (Journal of Medical Insight), and a Sales Consultant at Pearson. In 2018, they were an Inside Sales Representative at NanoString Technologies, Inc., and in 2020, they became a Small Business Consultant while self-employed. Currently, Stu A. is a Senior Research Associate at Hopewell Therapeutics Inc.

Stu A. attended Syracuse University from 2003 to 2007, where they earned a B.S. in Chemical Engineering and Biochemistry. In 2021, Stu A. completed a Certificate in Data Science from IBM (Coursera).
