Gilbert Lee has a diverse range of work experience spanning various industries and roles. In 2006, they began their career as an Investment Banking Analyst at Deutsche Bank. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Analyst for HIG Capital. Gilbert then transitioned to Summit Materials, where they served as the Director of Corporate Development from 2010 to 2012. In 2012, Gilbert pursued an MBA at Kellogg School of Management, and during that time, they also worked as a Summer Associate at A Better Chicago. After completing their MBA, Gilbert joined L.E.K. Consulting as a Consultant and worked there until 2015. During this period, in 2015, they also held the position of Director of Strategic Development at Aramark, where they led inorganic growth efforts. Gilbert then joined Alliance Holdings as the Director of Acquisitions, a role they held until 2020. Currently, they serve as the Vice President of Corporate Development at Horizon Services, LLC.

Gilbert Lee obtained their Bachelor's degree in Accounting from the Gies College of Business at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign from 2002 to 2006. Following that, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management from 2012 to 2013.
