Jason Tomashunas

Emergency Manager at HAP

Jason Tomashunas is an accomplished emergency management professional with extensive experience in the field, currently serving as the Emergency Manager and Northeast Regional Manager for Emergency Preparedness at HAP since July 2014. In addition to this role, Jason has been an Adjunct Professor at Thomas Jefferson University since January 2022. Previous experience includes positions as an Emergency Preparedness Technologist/Consultant at Cocciardi and Associates, Inc., and Planning Specialist for the East Central PA Counter Terrorism Task Force from February 2011 to June 2014. Early career roles included Assistant Coordinator for Emergency Preparedness and Criminal/Compliance Investigator at Moses Taylor Hospital, where Jason contributed as a member of the Hospital Safety Committee and chaired the Hospital Security Advisory Subcommittee. Jason holds a Master of Science in Disaster Medicine and Management from Thomas Jefferson University, and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice with a second major in Sociology from King's College.
