Jairo Almonte

Jairo Almonte is a dedicated healthcare professional currently serving as a Mobility Technician at the Hospital for Special Surgery since January 2019. In this role, Jairo is responsible for mobilizing acute care patients during post-operative recovery, ensuring adherence to hospital guidelines while facilitating effective communication among rehabilitation specialists, nursing staff, and patient care assistants. Jairo previously worked as a Medical Scribe at MedRite Urgent Care and ScribeAmerica, where responsibilities included real-time documentation of patient encounters using various electronic medical record systems. Additionally, Jairo gained valuable insight into orthopedic medicine through an Academic Visitor program at the Hospital for Special Surgery. Jairo holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Biology from the University at Albany, SUNY, with further education obtained at City University of New York-Herbert H. Lehman College and Marymount Manhattan College.
