Julie Pelaez

Julie Pelaez has extensive work experience in digital communications and web management. Julie has worked at the Hospital for Special Surgery since 2005, holding various positions such as Vice President, Assistant Vice President, Senior Director, and Director in the Digital Communications and Web departments. Prior to their work at the hospital, Julie worked as a Digital Designer for a consultant from 1995 to 2004. Julie also served as VP and Co-Founder at Timera Corporation from 2000 to 2002.

Julie Pelaez completed their Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Michigan from 1987 to 1991. Julie then pursued further studies at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, obtaining their Master's degree in Engineering Design and a Ph.D. in Information Visualization in the field of Mechanical Engineering from 1991 to 1999.
