Carla joined the House team as Cause Team Lead, motivated by the power of the arts to drive social change. Carla is a strategic advisor and organizational leader with expertise in communications, development and coalition building.
Immediately prior, Carla served as the State Communications Director for the AFL-CIO, a job she chose after spending a decade helping to grow a consulting firm that served clients ranging from the Ford Foundation to The Boeing Company.
Carla spent the first decade of her career working on political campaigns, culminating with her service as the Federal Victory Fund Director at the Democratic National Committee for the 2000 presidential cycle. Throughout her career, Carla has worked with artists in various capacities. She’s produced benefit concerts and performances at venues such as the iconic Radio City Music Hall and Kodak Theater, coordinated high-end art auctions, produced and directed livestream webcasts and collaborated on pop culture videos that have gone viral. Joining the House team has given Carla the opportunity to follow her lifelong passion for the arts and commitment to making the world a better place.
