Rick Bryant has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rick started their career at Lundia Div of MII in 1989, where they worked as a Manufacturing Engineer, Supervisor, and Design Engineer. After that, they joined Gusdorf Corporation in 1991, where they served as a Manufacturing Engineer, CNC Programer, and Safety Manager until 1993. From 1993 to 1994, Rick worked as a Production Supervisor at Cooper Bussmann. Rick then moved on to JMC Manufacturing in 1994 and worked as a Plant Manager until 1996. In 1997, Rick joined VSM Abrasives Corp as a Plant Engineer, where they remained until 2009. Finally, they became the President/Owner of HouseMaster, Guaranteed Home Inspections in 2010, where they conducted inspections for various purposes such as home buying, selling, maintenance, and construction.

Rick Bryant attended Western Illinois University from 1985 to 1989, where they pursued a degree in Industrial Engineering and Technology with a focus on Manufacturing Business Management. Prior to their time at Western Illinois University, they attended Illinois College in 1984-1985, but did not obtain a degree or declare a specific field of study during their time there.

In addition to their formal education, Rick has obtained several certifications. In January 2010, they became a certified inspector with the American Society of Home Inspectors (ASHI), holding the designation of Certified Inspector #250315. During the same month, they also became a certified inspector with the National Institute of Building Inspectors, holding the designation of Certified Inspector #179010RT. Most recently, in January 2023, they obtained certification as a UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) Certified Pilot from the Federal Aviation Administration.
