Janis McAnallen is an experienced information governance and management professional with a robust background in various sectors. Currently serving as the Information Governance Manager and Head of Information Management at Houses of Parliament Restoration & Renewal since April 2020, Janis oversees the establishment and operation of information services crucial for the UNESCO World Heritage site. Janis has also held the role of Information Manager at the House of Commons since July 2016, focusing on effective information and records management. Previous positions include Library Solutions Manager at King's College London, where Janis ensured reliability in library systems and services, and various roles at the BBC, including Metadata Analyst and Senior Media Manager - Taxonomist, where contributions were made to metadata standards and information architecture. Janis holds a Graduate Diploma in Information Management and Systems and a Bachelor of Arts in Information Management from Monash University.
